Apprentices are eager to learn and become a valuable member of your team, they are able to assist with salon duties and your salon team.
Joshua Galvin @ Central Hairdressing Academy will provide them with the highest standard of training that will consist of theory and practical training, supported by salon training and regular in-salon visits by your appointment assessor.
Training days are flexible to work around your apprentice and your salon to limit any disruption
Q. How do I employ an apprentice?

Q. How do I place my junior at your academy?
A. If your junior has worked at your salon for a minimum of three months they can apply for the apprenticeship by contacting the recruitment team on 020 7613 4455 or click here to make an course enquiry ……
An application pack will be sent to your salon, simply fill in the application form and return to the Freepost address (inserted on the form). Upon receipt of the application form the recruitment team will invite your junior to an induction day at our academy where they will receive information about our training. Once paperwork has been completed from both junior and salon, their training will commence within a matter of weeks.
Q. Will I have to pay for the training?

The Assessor Award is designed to offer those individuals who are, or will be, concerned with assessing learners taking National Vocational Qualifications. It is a programme of training in skills, techniques and principles of assessing competency using a variety of assessment methods. During the contract year 2008/09 we were delighted to achieve a 100% achievement rate.
Preferred Training Salon SchemeThe Preferred Training Salon is a scheme that was launched at the end of 2008. Joshua Galvin at Central Training carried out research to see what the general public and the industry expect from salons. People want to feel assured they are getting the best by qualified and experienced stylists and this is down to employers providing excellent training to all of their staff. With this in mind, the Preferred Training Salon scheme was launched.

Joshua Galvin / Central Photographic CompetitionJoshua Galvin and Central Hairdressing Academy offer all learners the chance to take part in their annual photographic competition sponsored by Wella. Each year the competition offers five different categories that are heavily influenced by music, street fashion and club scene trends. Regional finalists are invited to recreate their looks at Wella World Studio, London and winners are announced by the panel of hairdressing industry experts. The competition has been heavily publicised in Hairdressers Journal, Creative Head and Fellowship of Hairdressers magazine, The Stylist and Salon Business.
GraduationsEvery year Joshua Galvin at Central Training celebrate their learners success with their annual graduation held at Wella World Studio, London. The graduation is a massive event for salons, learners and their parents. In the past Nicky Clark, Errol Douglas and Desmond Murray, Charles Worthington, Tony Rizzo, Daniel Galvin, Beverly C and Annie Humphreys have helped co-host the event with Joshua Galvin.
